Office of Economic Development
As a member of the University System of Georgia, Kennesaw State University seeks to advance our State’s knowledge-based economy and actively contribute to its economic viability. Borrowing from the definition developed by the University Economic Development Association found in its August 2015 publication, Higher Education Engagement in Economic Development: Foundations for Strategy and Practice, economic development means proactive institutional engagement, with partners and stakeholders, in sustainable growth of the competitive capacities that contribute to the advancement of society through the realization of individual, firm, community, and regional-to-global economic and social potential. KSU has always been an engaged contributor to its community and currently our institution’s yearly economic impact is approximately $1.2 billion.
KSU seeks to build on this success and forge new connections that will support and expand this work and contribute to our region, state, national and world community. The Division provides leadership toward this initiative working with all facets of the KSU community and leveraging our resources to advance this work.
